Obituary of Jessie Lillian McLaughlin
Mrs. Jessie Lillian McLaughlin was born in Sussex on April 22, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Doreen (Bevans) Harvey.
Jessie had a hunger for life and a passion for music. From fiddle, guitar, banjo and harp; all the way to accordion, there wasn’t an instrument she couldn’t play. She loved being part of the Happy Go Lucky Fiddlers for many years and could sing like a bird. When she wasn’t making amazing music, she enjoyed summers in St. Martin’s, cross-stitch, gardening and cooking.
She worked as a hairdresser for many years, not knowing that she would meet the love of her life in that very chair. In 2003. Jessie would marry David McLaughlin and they would get to celebrate their love for 15 wonderful years. Family was very important to Jessie and she was always happy when she was surrounded by those, she held so dear.
Jessie was a kind-hearted woman, whom would spare no expense when it came to helping others. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a beautiful spirit. Her smile could brighten any room. She will be deeply missed by all who came into her life.
She will live on in the hearts of her loving husband, David McLaughlin of Plumweseep; her grandchildren: Brianna and Isaiah Harvey; five great grandchildren; her sisters: Judith Connolly and her husband Mike of Maugerville, Earlene Titus and her husband Wayne of Geary and Patricia Thornhill and her husband Randy of Sussex; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
